Summer Leadership Camp
Middle and High School students participate in a two-week leadership camp that focuses on building self-esteem, leadership skills, team building responsibility, community involvement, personal accountability and critical thinking skills. During the annual two-week camp, informative workshops with topics such as Entrepreneurship, CPR, Fire Safety, True Colors, Etiquette, Skin Care, Public Speaking, Empowerment and Substance Abuse were offered. Campers also attended computer classes, educational field trips and a college and career fair. 60 students are served annually in the two-week camp.
The program has helped me grow from a little boy to a young man. It has helped me pull my grades up and stay on track and learn how to love myself.”

Summer Reading Camp
During the summer, we annually sponsor an eight-week Summer Reading Camp at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The camp offers weekly theme-focused learning experiences with emphasis on reading. Each week culminates with an educational field trip where students are able to put their classroom learning skills into action. In the past, students have toured a farm, visited the museum, zoo and aquarium, learned about summer safety and community service. The camps served 58 students annually.
